Quantum exchange across continents – QOOOL Sensing visits the Universidad Nacional de La Plata

In mid-March, QOOOL Sensing visited the Faculty of Physics at the Universidad Nacional de La Plata (UNLP) in Argentina – a striking example of just how far our project’s international network has already reached. Hosted by a number of professors, the meeting quickly developed into a lively, practical exchange: experiments were set up on the spot, ideas were tested immediately, and teaching approaches were compared. Topics such as F-centres in salt crystals and molecules as quantum potential wells are already firmly established in university research at La Plata, although they are still cumbersome to study and require significant experimental effort. This starting point makes it clear just how much we have been able to benefit from each other’s experiences through our collaboration.

The visit has once again demonstrated that QOOOL Sensing is expanding beyond its regional roots and forging links that open up new scientific and educational perspectives. We look forward to further exchanges with our like-minded colleagues in Argentina.
